JV game cancelled: Manitowoc AD just informed DP High School, that due to low numbers, they are not able to field a Junior Varsity soccer team this fall. Therefore, there will only be a Varsity game at Manitowoc tomorrow (Thurs) at 4:30 pm.

To order merchandise, download the PDF clothing list, and additional merchandise, complete the attached order form, and return the order form & check to the club. See the order form for more information about payment. Merchandise orders will be placed around the 15th of each month if minimum 6 non-cap items are ordered.

8/18/08 Boys' Parents Meetings - 2009 Girl's Events - Boosters Club Meeting - Volunteers Needed

Mandatory boys' parents meeting is set for Tuesday August 19th 7:00PM DPHS Commons. Meet coaches, get information about the season, stadium jackets will be distributed, etc. Please note there is a $10.00 stadium jacket wear and tear fee for the season that will be collected.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday July 29th at 7:00 PM in the DPHS commons.
It is an important meeting as some of the key agenda items include:
   1. Voting on nominations for DP Redbird Soccer Board Positions up for reelection
   2. Approving a budget for our August 1, 2008-July 31,2009 year
   3. Preparing for the De Pere Redbird Boys' High School Season-
( The first away game is August 26 and the first home game is August 28th)

VOLUNTEER ROLES:
We are in the process of preparing a schedule to cover concessions for Varsity Soccer and Football We will need volunteers to help for this. In addition to this forthcoming request, please consider if you could help out in the following volunteer roles:

STADIUM COAT DISTRIBUTION- help to distribute coats to the Redbird Male Teams on August 19th.
Time Commitment 6:30-8:30 to both prepare and distribute coats following a Parents - Player meeting on that night.

CLEANING THE CONCESSION STAND AND STOCKING FOR THE SEASON: Looking for 3-5 persons to help freshen up the stand and stock up the items for the season. Monday August 25th 10-12

POSTER- Looking for one person to type 3 schedules in a sample format for the soccer poster that the Booster club sponsors.   Time Commitment: 1-2 hours dependent on your typing skill

BALL PERSONS- Looking for a person to call potential ball peoples and line up for 4 for each home Varsity game for the Fall 2008 season Time Commitment: 30 minutes prior to each home game. More details would be provided.

We want to congratulate the Redbirds on all of their successes this season including a FRCC Conference Championship and a Regional title. We especially want to wish all of our Seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors. I remember all of them as freshman and the energy and the love of the game that they have given. We will miss all of you as well as your parents who have sat in the stands and beside us all of these years. Thank you also to all of the Coaches who put their heart and soul into coaching the girls. Good Luck!

Just a reminder, that De Pere still hosts the Sectional Final game this Saturday May 31st at 6:30. We will need to provide concessions, ball persons and a stat person. I am still looking for 2 ball people and a stat person to assist us. There is a small financial incentive for those interested. We offered to be hosts for this game and so please help to step out and show Kimberly and Bayport that we are class hosts just like the class soccer team on the field.

Coats: Parents that have coats, please plan to turn them in with your athlete when this date gets scheduled. I will also hope to have a couple of parents to help to pack up the coats for the season. Please take time to wash them over the weekend so they are cleaned for the next season.
There will be a July planning meeting for the next year . Stay tuned for dates.

5/24/08 De Pere Defeates GB Southwest
Congratulation the De Pere Redbird Soccer Team that claimed the title FRCC Regional Final Champions after a hard fought match between De Pere and Green Bay Southwest. De Pere was victorius after a goal by Shannon Becker after coming off the bench from being out with an injury. DePere 1 Green Bay Southwest ).

De Pere will face Bayport in the Sectional match on Thursday May 29th. Go Redbirds!

5/23/08 De Pere Defeates GB West - Regional Final's Schedule
The De Pere Redbird Soccer team defeated Green Bay West last evening with a score of 6-0. Congratulations to the Redbirds who will continue on to the Regional Final Game on Saturday. Thanks for the great fan support on Thursday night. Come cheer the Redbirds on in the Regional Final.

Saturday May 24: De Pere will play Green Bay Southwest at 11:00 at BAYPORT.

Thursday May 29: The higher seeded team remaining hosts the Sectional semi-final, and the host determines the time.

Saturday May 31: REGARDLESS of whom is playing in the SECTIONAL FINAL on Saturday May 31, the game will be AT DE PERE at 6:30 PM.

FRCC Game 1: De Pere will play Ashwaubenon on Tuesday May 13th at De Pere. JV plays at 4:30 and Varsity plays at 6:30.

We are still in need of some concession help for conference tournament games and potential playoff games.
In particular:
* Saturday May 17th for the FRCC Game 3 from 12:30 -3:30 2 volunteers
* Saturday May 24th 9:30-12:00- 2 volunteers and 12:00-2:30 2 volunteers
* Saturday May 31 5:00-9:00 PM 3 volunteers

All of these games are dependent on the outcome of some earlier games but we need to plan for them at this time. Please email Kim if you are able to help out.

5/9/08 Date Set for Round #1 of FRCC Tournament at De Pere
Round #1 of FRCC Women's Soccer Tournament is set for Tuesday, May 13th Pulaski v. De Pere JV's 4:30, Varsity 6:30.

Please Note: After further review, the correct soccer tournament seeds for 1-4 have been corrected, based on points and tie breaker method. De Pere should be #2 seed. Tied with points against GBSW, but DP beat GBSW in dual play!

DP placement/ seed now assures/ confirms that DP will be home on Thursday, May 15th win or lose. This applies for the JV's as well.

5/3/08 May 10th - JV game cancelled - Varsity game still on
West De Pere has cancelled the JV game vs. De Pere on May 10th due other school commitments and lack of players. Varsity will still play at West De Pere at noon.

4/28/08 1st Place Trophy for JV Team, Varsity's Hard Played Tie, Parent & Fan Night, & Sheboyan Game Info
Congratulations to the JV Soccer Redbirds on their first place trophy from the Waupaca tournament on Saturday April 26h. All of this in very tough conditions. The Varsity also played hard against both Notre Dame and an incredible wind. The game was 90 minutes and two ten minute overtimes resulting in a 0-0 tie.

PARENTS Night is this Thursday May 1. All Lady Redbird Parents should have received an invitation.
Both JV and Varsity games will be played on Brashier field weather permitting at 4:30 and 6:30 respectively.
Parents and families are invited to the atrium of the high school after the Varsity game for a reception and an introduction of the parents.

This is also FAN APPRECIATION and GO BIRD night- If you wear your GO BIRD Shirt you will get into the game free. Players will be handing out special invites to their fans who can turn them in to win a prize at the end of the Varsity game. Come cheer the Redbirds on Thursday May 1!

The Redbirds will travel to Sheboygan on Tuesday April 29th. Please note that the soccer games are played at Horrace Mann Middle School in Sheboygan.

4/21/08 West DP Game Rescheduled, Parents & Fan Apreciation Night, & Concessions Update
The West De Pere game has now been rescheduled but will be played at West De Pere soccer field on Saturday May 10th. JV will play at 10 AM and Varsity will play at 12:00 noon.
Please mark your calendars. West De Pere will serve as hosts.

4/14/08 New Starting Times for Thursday’s games & Friday’s game to be Played at West De Pere HS
Due to facilities use as a result of weather re-scheduling, we've agreed to accommodate Pulaski for Thursday's games at Pulaski. Please see the new start times and JV field location below, from Pulaski's AD. Players, coaches will adjust travel schedule accordingly.

On Thursday the Soccer games with PHS and De Pere will be the following;

The Varsity game will be at 7:00 on the main field. A dual Track meet with PHS and GBE will begin at 3:30 and end by 6:30 on the main field.

The 5:00 JV game will be played on the Soccer field to the South of the HS and not at the MS. That area could still be wet on Thursday. Please bring lawn chairs as there are not any bleachers.

I thank all in advance for their cooperation as we try to get everything in with the weather conditions.

Game is at West De Pere because we had to have our De Pere Invitational for track on this day as well AND we could not find another suitable day for Brookfield Central to come to us.

The April 10th JV and Varsity Notre Dame at De Pere have been CANCELLED and re-scheduled to the following dates:

VARSITY: Saturday, April 26th at 6:00 pm
JV: Monday, April 21 at 4:30 pm (Notre Dame's jv's have another game on 4/26)

The athletics director cancelled all outdoor practices on soccer fields through MONDAY 4/14.

De Pere Soccer Parents/Players/Coaches:
Due to the weather, we will reschedule the April 10th meeting to place orders for optional De Pere Redbird Soccer merchandise. 1/31/08 Boys Year End Celebration March 10th!!!

The 2007 De Pere Redbird Varsity soccer season was a glorious trip that few of us will forget. Our wonderful Booster Club is organizing an evening of reminiscing and celebration on Monday March 10th. A flyer is forthcoming in the mail to all team members and related parties which will provide the details. Festivities begin at 5:15 at the De Pere Cinema where an hour long DVD recapping the season will be shown. This will be followed by dinner at Gallaghers Pizza (W. Mason location) at 6:30. Look for the flyer, and let's get all team members, family members and fans to participate. Should be a great evening!!!

1/3/08 Girls Runner-up Banner Dedication

On Saturday, January 5th at half time of the DPHS Redbird Female Basketball Game, a banner for the 2007 De Pere Redbird Women's State Runner Up Soccer Team will be dedicated for De Pere High School. All team members should plan on attending and all soccer fans can come and cheer them on for their accomplishments.

11/29/07 All-Area Players Named

Congratulations to Eric Cotter (Goalee), AJ Fameree (Defense) and Travis Westcott (Midfield) who were named today as First Team All-Area players by the Green Bay Press Gazette. Dylan Osadjan and Alex VandeLarschot were also named Honorable Mention. While always nice to be recognized individually, these kids know they had tremendous teammates who are equally deserving of these honors.

Those of you missing the past soccer season can relive the State Quarterfinal game against Wauwatosa West at this sweet website. Click here for action photos that are awesome! Click on WIAA State Finals, then Soccer, then Boys, then Division 1, then Quarterfinals, then our game. Also, this webmaster and his nephew are diligently working on a year end DVD. Don't have a specific completion date as this project is very time consuming, but hoping to have it completed in a few weeks. Once complete, we will have a Premier showing at the De Pere Cinema. 11/15/07 FRCC All-Conference Selections Made

Congratulations to AJ Fameree and Travis Westscott who were selected to the First Team, and Alex Van De Laarschot and Dylan Osadjan who were selected to the Second Team. Complete travesty we did not have more players mentioned. This webmaster is voting the entire team as First Team as we were a TEAM, and nothing about individuals. That is the precise reason why we were so successful this year as you boys had each other's back. Congratulations TEAM!!!!

10/30/07 Fan Bus Sign Up!

BOYS SOCCER FAN BUS: Students and parents can sign up to ride a charter fan bus to the boys soccer team's WIAA state quarterfinal game Thursday in Milwaukee. Cost is $13, which includes a game ticket. Permission forms are available from Mrs. Guyette in the high school office. Forms and payment are due by noon on Wednesday. The bus will depart at 2:30 pm and return approximately 9:30 pm. Students will be dismissed after their 7th hour class.

Everyone please come out and support your Redbirds boys team as they take on titan Preble in the Sectional Final at West De Pere at 6:30 this evening. This should prove to be an exciting match as the teams have battled twice this year with Preble winning both matches. The winner will play Thursday at STATE! Good Luck Men!

Congratulations to our Lady Redbirds on an outstanding season. The accomplishments of this team are amazing, and it has been a great run. Thanks to everyone for all your support to this program, which is reaching new heights because of your efforts.

Yes, Yes, Yes, our Lady Birds will battle Homestead Saturday at 2:00 at Uihlein Soccer Park in the first title game in the history of girls soccer at De Pere High School. The girls are going to need all the support they can get, so tell your friends family and neighbors to head down to Milwaukee tomorrow to cheer our girls on to a State Title!

Our Lady Birds defeated Waukesha West today after 100 minutes of play in a shoot out 5-3. It is their first victory at the state tournament level, and propels them into the Semifinal game tomorrow (Friday) at 5:00. Please make it down to Uihlein Soccer Complex to cheer our girls on to victory against Kenosha Bradford.

State bound T-shirts will be available for sale on Wednesday at school at the lunch hour from 11:10 to 11:50, and at 5:00 to 6:00 at the High School commons. Cost of the shirt is $10. They will be aqua blue (Color selected by team).

They did it! Our Lady Birds are heading to the State Tournament after winning the sectional final today against Preble 1-0.

Congratulations to Shannon Becker, Janna Yost, Kylie Ringelstetter, and Alyssa Chamberlain who were all named 1st Team. Second team honors went to Sarah Ferry, with Honorable Mention to Leah Wiercinski and Jackie Ebert.

Congratulations to Kylie Ringelstetter and Alex Fameree as they were named winners of the 2007 Redbird Soccer Booster Scholarship. Kylie and Alex will each be receiving $500, recognizing their contribution to the DePere Soccer Program. Kylie will be attending Carroll College, while Alex will be attending UW-LaCrosse, with both planning on playing soccer at the college level. Both are very worthy recipients as they have a strong passion for the game, and have matured into tremendous leaders. It was enjoyable watching them grow into great players, and even better young adults. Congratulations to both, and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Congratulations to our Redbird Girls who grabbed their fourth consecutive Bay Conference title today with a 2-0 victory over Ashwaubenon. Keep the momentum going girls into the WIAA tourney!
